gigmio is a small shop. We pick categories from search demand, price what the freelance marketplace actually charges for them, and shortlist the specific sellers we would order from. When a category isn't worth outsourcing we say so, including when the honest answer is to do it yourself and spend nothing.
Demand picks the category
Search data decides which kinds of work get a page at all — never a seller, and never a commission rate.
The price band comes before the picks
Every page states what the marketplace actually charges, and what to settle before ordering. That part is useful even if you ignore who we picked.
Nothing gets a score it didn't earn
We have not commissioned any of this work, so no seller carries a score. What we publish is a shortlist and the reasoning behind it. Empty shelves stay empty until they aren't.
Where our numbers come from
Price ranges. The band on each category page is what sellers themselves publish for that work, sampled by hand. Where we have gone back and re-checked it, the page says so; where we haven't, it says that instead. Nobody's price is guaranteed and all of them change without notice.
Demand. The 'searches a month' figure is a third-party estimate derived from what the marketplace's own category pages rank for. It is not published by Fiverr and it is not a measure of what anyone earns. Every page that shows it names the source and the date it was collected.
Sellers. The rating, review count, delivery time and package contents on a seller card are that seller's own published figures, copied by hand on the date shown next to them. We did not collect them live, and the live page may say something different by the time you get there.
Our picks. We have not commissioned any of this work, so we do not review sellers and we publish no score for them — a number would imply a test that didn't happen. What we publish is a shortlist and the reasoning behind each entry, including who each one is wrong for.
What we haven't done yet
We have not bought a single freelance package. Until we do, everything on this site is analysis rather than review, and it says so on the page. Several categories have no shortlist yet — those pages carry no outbound link at all, because sending you to the marketplace's own category listing would just hand the picking back to its algorithm, and picking is the part we are supposed to be doing. We would rather show you an empty shelf than fill it with guesses. If a page ever carries a score, it will be because we paid for the work and can describe what arrived.

Outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you order through one, Fiverr pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. It is worth knowing exactly how that works, because it decides what we have to gain by pointing you anywhere in particular:
Fiverr pays a fixed amount per first-time buyer, set by category — the same whether you order a $30 gig or a $600 one, and the same whichever seller you pick. So within a category there is nothing to gain by steering you toward a pricier package or a particular seller. Across categories the rates do differ, which is why the categories on this site are chosen from search demand before any commission rate is looked up — and why the order they appear in comes from that demand figure, which is printed on the page.
Where a shortlisted seller has no working affiliate link, we link to their page anyway and earn nothing. We would rather do that than drop a seller who belongs on the list.
